History & Spiritual Significance
- Sree Bagalamukhi Devi Temple is one of the rare Shrines of Maa Bagalamukhi in South India.
- The decision to build Her Temple here was taken by Sree Suryamangalam Advaitha Veda Vidhya Peetam, under the blessing of His Holiness Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetathipathi Jagadguru Poojya Sri Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Sankaracharya Swamiji, who laid the foundation stone on 4 June 2011.
- The Temple is distinctive for being the only Shrine in India where the Chathurbahu Vigraham (four-armed Idol) of Maa Bagalamukhi, in accordance with the Dhyana Sasthra Vidhi, is consecrated and worshipped.
- Worship at this Temple is done strictly according to the Thaantric Vidhi. Vedic Sastra Vidhi or Aagama Sastra are not used in the consecration or regular worship. Devotees believe that sincere worship here helps overcome adversaries, remove black magic, legal troubles, and enemies.
