History & Spiritual Significance

Maa Baglamukhi Mandir in Nalkheda is one of the three ancient Siddha Peeths of Maa Baglamukhi in India, the other two being in Datia (Madhya Pradesh) and Bankhandi (Himachal Pradesh).

According to tradition, the Temple’s origin traces back to the Mahabharata era, where King Yudhishthira, on Lord Krishna’s guidance, installed the Divine Idol of Maa Baglamukhi here to obtain victory over adversaries.

The Sanctum features a triad deity shrine: Maa Baglamukhi in the center, flanked by Goddess Lakshmi on Her right and Goddess Saraswati on Her left. There are also subsidiary shrines for Lord Krishna, Lord Hanuman and Lord Bhairav within the Temple complex.

Devotees come here especially when facing evil forces, legal issues, enmity, or obstacles, believing that sincere worship here grants protection, victory, and spiritual strength. Navratri and Baglamukhi Jayanti are major festivals at the Temple.
