  • Maa Bagalamukhi (Pitambara) is one of the Ten Mahavidyas known for Her power to still the speech and mind of adversaries, to grant victory, remove obstacles, and to protect Her devotees. The temple of Amleshwar is especially beloved for Her golden-yellowness theme (Her typical colour) and for the sense of peace and strength devotees report experiencing here.

  • By Air: The nearest airport is Swami Vivekananda Airport, Raipur. From the airport, private taxis or cabs are available to reach Amleshwar. The drive is about 15 km to the Temple from Raipur’s airport.
  • By Train: The Raipur Junction Railway Station is the closest major railhead. From Raipur station, devotees can take taxis or buses towards Amleshwar.
  • By Road: Amleshwar is well connected by road. State Transport buses, private cabs, and shared taxis run regularly from Raipur, Durg, and nearby towns to Amleshwar Temple. From Raipur or Durg, one needs to travel via Khudmuda Road to reach the Temple.

Visiting Details & Features

  • Darshan / Darshan Times: The Temple opens early in morning (around 5 AM); special Pooja / Aarti times include Mangala Aarti at dawn, Shringar Darshan later in morning, Rajbhog midday, Sandhya Aarti in the evening.
  • Dressing & Offerings: Yellow is sacred here; devotees commonly wear yellow clothes, bring yellow flowers, sweets, turmeric etc as offerings.
